Andy Carroll's Dream Debut for Amiens

Andy Carroll, aged 34, made a remarkable debut for Amiens, transforming the game as a substitute

Last week, the English cult hero left League One's Reading for a surprising switch to French second division side, Amiens.

Wearing the iconic No99 shirt, Carroll came on as a substitute in the 66th minute when the game was tied at 1-1.

Just 11 minutes into his debut, Amiens scored, taking a 2-1 lead.

Former Chelsea wonderkid Gael Kakuta and Louis Mafouta added more goals, securing a convincing 4-1 win.

Amiens currently holds the second position in the Ligue 2 table after four matches, with their sights set on top-flight promotion.

Carroll's move to Amiens has left fans calling it the 'most random transfer ever' after his £35 million signing by Liverpool in 2011.
